Community Teams

Recruit 20 friends, co-workers, family relatives, community members to put together a team for a good cause. You can utilize this opportunity to raise money and promote for the cause that you believe in. This is also a great opportunity for you to build your organization, comaraderie among your staff members and to market your organization!

On the race day, the winners get medals and a cash prize that they then donate to a non-profit or charitable organization.

The fee for racing is $500 that covers insurance and operations costs but if you split that 20 ways its only $25 per person. In addition, Dragonboating is a GREAT teambuilding activity (every paddle must hit the water at the exact same time!) and some employers and organizations may be willing to pay the fee and use the event as a tool to build camraderie.

The Ithaca Dragon Boat Club will provide steerers and trainers for your team.
